Kawasaki service manual says you have to remove the fairing to replace these bulbs? Are you kidding me, what if you are on a long trip and need to replace in an emergency? That's crazy, maybe they need to hire their engineers after the get their diploma.

For the VV? Haven't taken the fog lamps off, but the headlight comes out with one allen and 4 hex bolts.

was simply reading the service manual because i am heading out on a 1300 mile trip next week and was wondering how i would change it in an emergency.

pull the faring pockets out...4 screws each...you can reach right in and pull the fog light bulbs:D

I don't have a service manual, yet. What's involved getting to them on the VV?
Read above post to get to the foglamps. The headlight comes out by removing one allen scew under the chrome headlight bezel, pop the bezel off, unscew the four hex bolts and pull the headlamp. Unplug the wire and its in your hand.
