Hi, I was wondering why there is no posts in this section:confused::confused: So I will try to be the first. I know there are a lot of Vulcan riders out there. So if you are from Canada and in particular....Alberta, then this is for you:) I want to meet you. Let me know where you are from and tell me your story on why you ride and or "prefer" Kawasaki Vulcans.

Oh, this should be interesting.... LOL:p

Hi, VN1700, I ride cause its more fun than walking lol, I bought this bike because I liked the looks better than most out there. Really enjoy it, its killing me looking at it in the garage every morning right now. Would be cool to meet other riders. I dont head north too often, usually go down into mountains of Montana to kalispell area but might make it up there this summer. Have a biking buddy who has a girl friend in your town and I might head up there with my wife and him for a visit.

Hi guys,

I just completed my first summer on my 2003 Vulcan 500. Bought it from someone from St Albert, AB with only 620 kms on it! Did a bit of research and it seems popular opinion is that in general Vulcans are good bikes and at the 500cc range the Vulcan is tops.

Rode dirt bikes a bit as a kid and always had a fondness for the old Kawasaki 454 LTD. I decided that at 43 years old it was time to be a bit selfish and convinced my wife to 'let me' buy a bike. I put about 2000 kms on just cruising in and around Winnipeg and just in December a buddy joined my Old Hawgs club and bought a Honda Shadow 750 Ace.

I really enjoy casually cruising around and tell myself I am being environmentally friendly too ;). I see a few Vulcan riders around town but I think there are only 2 or 3 of us on the forums here.

Ride safe.

Well I think it would be a bit of a ride to meet you, but I bought a 2009 Vulcan Classic LT, because the Rebel I was riding was just not enough for me, being tall I wanted to be more comfortable and I needed more power to tour with my husband. From the first time I sat on the Vulcan I knew it was for me. I just had that ahaaa feeling, and then the first time I rode it, I again new that it was a great bike. I have just ordered a great looking rad cover for it, and I to am sad everymoring looking at it covered up.

Hi from Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. Been ridding since I was about 14 on a honda ST 90. bought a used 86 savage in about 98, sold it three years ago, had a year of hell of no bike at all, wife gave in and bought me a 2007 VN900 Classic LT brand new in 2008, did a lot of looking like the look and the toys, was big enough for the hi-way, but not too big for the city. been to Calgary once on it last year and Edmonton the first year. biggest problem around here is finding places like Golden to go ridding. bike was purchased at pro-am cycle in Calgary the picture of me was when I went to pick it up.

Vulcan Ride-In?

Hello There!
I'm a brand new member, just signed up. I'm from Ontario and am looking to stretch my legs this summer and was wondering if there is any truth to the rumour that there is a Vulcan Ride-In in Vulcan, Alberta every year. I checked the town's tourism site but all I get is Star Trek stuff and a Show & Shine on July 17th 2010. I don't know if there is a Canadian Vulcan Owner's Group so if anybody out there is a member, please enlighten me on how to sign up. My '08 900LT needs to see the Prairies and I need a vacation!
Looking forward to talking more in the future!

I've been riding for 8 years now, purchased a Honda 82 CB750F, thats the supersport model, absolutely loved the bike but a broken wrist made supersport riding uncomfortable.

So this past summer I purchased a 900SE and was amazed at how it handled. My first ride was an 8 hour trip in the pouring rain from a dealer in Lindsay Ontario as my dealer couldn't get one in. My ass was naturally sore from the ride, but I assumed it was from an unbroken in seat. I will see if my local upholster can add some comfort to it, he redid the seat on the Honda for me. I am looking forward to a Vulcan group ride some time this summer.

I had to shrink the picture a bunch first. I used a program called PIXresizer. It's a free download. I had to shrink it a couple times.

I noticed the Vulcan 900 sure seems to be a popular bike. I do like it a lot too. My friend who just got her liscence last year is now looking for a Vulcan 900 too. I seems that bike is a good move up from her Suzuki Marauder 250.

P.S. I sure enjoy all the replies to this thread so far. ;)
