Finally found the picture I ran across randomly last week that shows a rear luggage rack, WITHOUT sissy bar. This picture is on the Tsukayu website when you click the page for all their Strongbags.

I would be willing to bet money this is a Vulcan 900 Classic rear end, and that's why I want to know what this luggage/rear rack is. Hoping I can find the same kind of setup.

Too bad I can't offer a prize to whoever can figure it out :p

Mark, Yes those are passenger floor boards and no, VN900s don't come with them. You have to add them.

The rack looks like half the LT back rest with a modified top case carrier,i would suggest the bag brackets are also stock LT bag brackets.

The other rack ..... MMMM looks familiar, i just cant place either of them:eek:

Dang it. I pulled up this post based on the heading thinking I'd have to take a guess of either Jessica Alba's or Megan fox's cleavage.

nice rack

I suddenly forgot all about missing riding when I saw that one! Up in michigan we are having withdrawls with 10 degrees and snow, on the verge of depression and dreaming about spring. Made me forget all about it, she is def. bigger than Fox or Alba.

Mayorblurps ... if I recall from one of your previous posts, you are a female motorcyclist? So, I for one was actually thinking that you were talking about a motorcycle...

Not that I completely minded where things went on this...

But to your question - the first thing I noticed was the non-US license plate. So, based on my own experience, I was thinking that the whole set up was a European product (the gray 'platform' is definitely a mounting plate for a hard case of some sort -- perhaps Givi, or CooCase (sp?) or some similar product). Givi and others make 'universal' plates that can mount to any flat luggage rack sturdy enough to support the weight of the case. As for the brackets themselves, I'll defer to whiting on that, but I can tell you that many of the companies (e.g. Cobra, or National Cycle) sell their racks in three pieces, so that you can buy just the side plates and luggage rack without the passenger backrest and then it'd be up to you to get the unviersal mounting plate and case from another company. I'd thought about doing this, but ran out of money after purchase of my side cases :)

Yes guys, I am a female rider. You can imagine the *sigh* that left my mouth when I saw the rack picture. I can't be mad though, boys will be boys!

Now to find some way to make sure people know I'm a gal...avatar pic or something.

At least you took it in good spirits :). As for the rack I have no idea but the plastic cap look to be some kind of mounting bracket for a truck or something that is kinda like a "quick connect" or something. If you find out you will have to let us know though.

It really didn't bother me or surprise me; I think I actually laughed a little. Besides, I grew up with an older brother and male cousins, so I'm a little tougher than most girls because I had to be. I guess I'm one of those girls that guys like to hang out with. And of course I'm different from most gals I know because I DO love engines and anything with a motor and always have.

This is the main reason I posted the cleavage (she had a bra on)..and I thought it was cute, creative and funny. I DID NOT DELETE IT!! But going over site rules I read this: 3. - Members should realize this board is open to a general audience. Going with someone else's suggestion what I can do is order CWI sissy bar brackets and then just one of their luggage racks. Black is my first choice but chrome will be fine too. Right now the bike has more black with chrome touches here and there. And chrome is obviously the finish of choice for majority of the aftermarket stuff.

Cobra makes some nice black luggage racks for their sissy bars, but they only fit the shadow Phantom and apparently vulcan 1500.

I also found an all black sissy bar and luggage rack for vulcan 900s by highway hawk but I think the sissy bar is too high for my tastes.
