I have a n05 1600 nomad,It's totally stock but I did cut out baffles,I'm a 60yr. Rider,owned many bike growing up,the last 20 plus yrs I rode goldwings and then I got a 03 suzuki 800 murader,a cruiser was a totally different but I'm clueless about want I can do,can't do,don't need to do here's the question. Are there air and fuel jets that I adjust?my 1600 has plenty of power,it just keeps coming but at low rpm's it soo mild.dont want to get into power mods,rejecting just yet,and if I do put on a set of V&H pipes,will I HAVE to rejet?thanks

Unless you're listing your bike incorrectly, all the 2005 1600 models had fuel injection. No carbs on that bike, just a throttle body. It's all electronic.

In most cases, changing the exhaust should not require other modifications. It's when you replace the air intake for an aftermarket one when you need to consider a fuel processor. Some folks add a fuel processor for peace of mind because our bikes usually come from the factory running lean to meet smog regulations.

A fuel management unit such as a Power Commander will help you get the most out of it, but is not required for just an exhaust.
