Just got back from the mtns. Thank the vulcan gods it happened here at work.
I put the key in the ignition turn it on and all lights up!! Hit the start button and it blows the 10 amp fuse!! Any help would be greatly appreciated!! 06 v2k classic lt

I assume you replaced the fuse and it happened again, yes?

And this is the first time.. just "out of the blue"?

Any "hard" riding while up in the mountains? Potholes, etc?

direct short to ground. Trace that start circuit wiring from the fuse to its load. look for a pinched, bared wire or connector. This 10a fuse, this circuit feeds a start relay? The relay mite be the short. find the short, fix it, re fuse, move on.

Disconnect any load (starter) from bikes wiring to test for function. or risk back feed and burn up something else.

Or take it to somebody and pay to have them trace and fix it?

Turns out the starter was bad !!! Found one for $ 70.00 !!! Now she ru.ns like the beast she is!!!!! Thanks for the suggestions!!!
