So I'm looking into some crash bars for my Vulcan. I really don't like the look of them but I like the piece of mind they offer. I found some black ones on eBay but can't seem to find any pics of them on the bike. If you have black ones please share a pic!

This is exactly what I'm looking for, some that don't stand out! So these are made by Kawasaki??

Those look pretty sweet! I've been wanting to do a green and black scheme on my '97 1500a and was wondering if black crash bars would look goofy, but it looks killer! I'll probably have to order what I can get and paint them because my scoot it older, but that's ok.

I painted the crash guard on my 750 black since when I bought the bike, it was rusted pretty badly. Looked pretty nice IMHO. However, the bad thing about painting a piece chrome is that the paint scrapes of REALLY easy.

Even after sanding down the bars and really roughing up the surface, the paint just didn't want to bond to the metal.

If your going go with blacked out, I'd advise to get the bars powder coated if you can swing the bill. Otherwise, be ready to do a touch up/repaint fairly often.

To the OP: I would also check on Ebay for certain OEM distributors. I was able to get mine brand new for $160 and some change shipped.

So I got my crash bars in today however they didn't include any hardware, did yours?? hopefully these will work with the floorboards that came on my classic.
Yeah, the crash bars should have come with hardware.

did you get the installation instructions with yours?

Mine came with everything listed. I'd contact the seller and see about getting the missing parts or return it.

That's strange. I've never bought anything from a dealer that didn't come with everything needed.
