I have bought two seats and highway bars so far and have shopped at Cruiser Customizing, Dennis Kirk and Motorcycle Superstore. Really, it is a week to week, part to part thing. Most of your major aftermarket houses are very competitve with each other. I do have to say that the seat return policy at Dennis Kirk is really good in case you don't like the seat once you get it. Also, there are lots of folks who swear by E-bay although I think there is more risk involved there. The best bet is to just shop around. Good luck.

PS- Cycle Gear is another good place, especially if you have one of their stores close by. Again, mainly for reutrn policy and the fact you can go see the parts in the store sometimes.

I live and work in a small town where i have a vested interest in keeping some money in our community; but Dallas/Ft. Worth??

I'm with Jeep Pirate, hit the internet.

I got all my great accessories from the good folks on the forums! :)

For the rest, I advise following the course layed out above, shop it out! A few extra minutes of price comparison saved me $80 when I ordered tires.

Good luck, and welcome to the forums!

deals

I agree with the rest of the guys, if you are like me and love saving money shop around. Start with a search for the item, then check ebay, Dennis Kirk and Superstore. I just bought a sissy bar bag my son got at the harley dealer for $110 and found it on the superstore for $79.99. Ordered a rain suit with it to get free shipping which saved me another $10. If you are limitied funds like me it pays to shop around. Most things I bought I found for less on ebay but not all. Dennis Kirk offers a $10 gift card with your first purchase.

JP Cycles has a pretty big selection, but they are over priced. a great website I use now for just about everything is MetricThunder.com..... The prices are great, and they have tons of stuff for the 900. Also, the V & H exhaust was 60 dollars cheaper on there than anywhere else. Everything there is brand name and really cheap

I've had good service on OEM parts from Cheap Cycle Parts. For tires and such, I've had GREAT service from Motorcycle Superstore.

I bought a rain suit from MS that was a nudge too small. Their return process includes a printed UPS prepaid return label, so all you do is tape it on the box and drop it off at UPS. They email you when they receive the package, and debit your card back the item price less $5.99 return shipping. By far the most painless return I've ever made.

After 60 years on the planet, I can be pretty cynical about marketing, sales, returns, and such. These folks knocked my socks off. Really. And free shipping over $75, even if they ship from multiple locations.
