Best looking windshied/fairing for the classic?

Hey guys, tell me what your favorite looking windshield or fairing is for the Vulcan classic that you have seen. Post pic's if you got them. I've looked through all the pic threads, and I am basically down to the MS batwing or the Kawasaki short OEM shield. Really cant decide. Want the best possible look for my bike. If I get the batwing I will have to repaint so it will be quite costly. Looking for alternatives for sure.

To paint my batwing and bags, 2 tone with pin striping was $600 ... I have a 9" shield and have added fairing lowers which offers great protection from the elements. My bike was originally a LT model, I just did not like the "stance" of the stock shield.

there is some more pics at this link ....

Yea this is my struggle. I really want the batwing but my 2013 is flat black and flat white with a red pinstripe. To purchase the paint in Aerosol and do the work myself is 150ish and the pinstripe from the kawi dealer is 36.95 per side for the piece on the rear fender. Not sure if one side would be enough but probably need two sides. Then there is the cost of the fairing which certainly isn't cheap. I'm sure its all worth it but I am looking at around $700 for a front fairing. That's expensive!!!
Pretty happy with the Memphis Fats 21" shield myself
I'm also happy with the Memphis Fats 21" (had a 19" but it wasn't quite tall enough". I prefer the look of the bike with no windshield but it's a must for long rides.
Very subjective as every one has different opinions on what looks good etc. I prefer the look of no windshield, but agree it is a must on certain rides. Therefore, I don't really care what it looks like as long as I can take it off easily.

Memphis Phats quick release allows that. Had a National Cycle Switch Blade on a V2K that I liked better than the MS. I'm going to go with the National Cycle Switch Blade Chopped Shield for my VN 900 Custom.
Look into plasti dip you could paint the fairing minus the pin stripes for under $15. It comes out flat/matte and can be peeled off when you save up to get a pro paint job.
Darkarcher email me at [email protected] and I'll send you pics of my 2013 900 with MS batwing, its same bike as yours and looks great with it. I'm new on here and haven't had a chance to figure out the photobucket thing yet.
