Hey all,

I'm looking for recommendations on aftermarket exhaust for my 2019 Kawasaki Vulcan S 650. I did the stock exhaust mod of drilling a few holes in the muffler. While it definitely helped I am looking for some deeper, throatier sound. My last roommate's cat also sprayed my bike which seems to have left a bit of a bleach-like stain on the muffler

I did a lot of research awhile back (including reading this forum) and had these notes:

Two brothers racing - said to be annoying, droney, too loud
Arrow Rebel - not crazy about the look or sound
Danmoto - Lots of what I'm reading sounds like it's too loud
Miller Matador - my fav, too expensive

The big winner for me (with price in mind) was the Delkevic but it appears to be out of stock, has been for awhile, and they didn't respond to my email.

Would love to hear if anyone has any other suggestions, or thoughts on the options listed above. Photos and videos encouraged :)

Hi, great photo :).

I'm looking at one of these as I'm in the same predicament as yourself in not really knowing what to go for from the available choices.

The one you've sent the link isn't bad looking, especially if it fits your budget. Too bad about the cat thing, I can see why it's an "ex-roomate". Good looking scenery in the background, probably some decent riding roads in the area.
Exhaust systems are all about personal taste and part of making the bike your own. They're also something that can easily be changed later if not satisfied.
As for asking opinions, you'll get as many as for questions like which oil to use, what tires to run, and on and on infinitum. Do what you like.

Welcome from Pennsylvania, thank you for joining us here. Great choice with the Vulcan S, looks great! If I were going to buy an exhaust for mine I think I would go with the willy firetong based off of what I have heard and the look of it. Really looks sporty on the little sport cruiser!

Welcome, Ambam!

" ...seems to have left a bit of a bleach-like stain on the muffler "

Until you find the exhaust you're looking for, you might want to try something I found effective in getting the stain off your current pipe.

It took the "blueing/golding" right out of my Suzuki Thumper's pipe, with just a little elbow grease. Looked brand new, afterwards.

(...provided the affected area on your muffler is chrome, of course.)

Hope you enjoy your stay here in The Forums, my friend!

Welcome to the forum from North Carolina. Happy you decided to join us. Opinions on exhaust will vary. Hard to determine which is best until you hear it on the bike. Even the You Tube videos cannot give a totally accurate sound. Here is a search anyway. Good luck with your search and thanks again for be a member of the forum. Be well and Ride Safely.

I have the black finish Two Brothers Racing Comp S exhaust on my Vulcan S and yes, it is loud!!!! When you add the silencer the sound damps down significantly to keep your neighbors from hating you (maybe). The roar from the pipe with the silencer on, or DB killer in TBR jargon, is sweet. In the process, you will gain 6HP and your wheeled happiness machine will be 12lb leaner... I think you will love it.

Do you ears ring with TBR. Can you hear your music or partner on Bluetooth with this rxhaust
I'm a solo rider (for now) so I have not even tested the bluetooth communicators, but it's be probably be safe to say that inside the enclosed world of a full face helmet you should be able to hear your music or have a conversation with a fellow rider in the group or on the pillion seat wearing similar devices... Don't quote me though, I'm just coming from common sense. ;-)

Thanks for the tip, but it's black instead of chrome :/ That's a good point though, I'm sure I could find something to make it look better in the meantime.

Thank you! It's good to get some personal feedback, and nice to know the silencer helps.

As an after comment, I had Two Brothers on a Suzuki 1000 V-Strom, Prior to that I had Yoshimura on a Suzuki 1000 SV, same engine, the SV sounded awesome, the TB not as much, even with the add on db reducers.
Yoshimura doesn't list a slip-on or complete system for the Vulcan S but they do for the 650 Versys and Ninja. I don't know how much difference there is in the models as related to the exhaust

What's wrong with Arrow exhaust sound? Too manly for you? 😁

On a more serious note, I have Arrow with the silencer in. I bought ear plugs to compensate for its loudness, but at 5-6k rpm it's not really needed.
The helmet i use is Icon Airflite.

Was the Arrow without the silencer too 'manly' for you? 😏

The Arrow Rebel is my 3rd exhaust. OEM, Danmoto and Arrow. You already know about OEM. I loved the Danmoto's look and performance. It was just too loud. In order to control the noise level without overly restricting the exhaust flow you have to have a larger can . I am definitely not crazy about the look and size of the Arrow Rebel , it has a great sound that you can live with. I I initially ran it without the baffle but put it in to see the difference and left it in. It has gotten a bit louder over a couple of years.

i put two brothers on mine i will agree it was loud and annoying i ended up putting a silencer on it and its much quieter alot more tolerable. my friend has same bike with the two brothers on it also without the silencer cone and you can definitely hear a huge difference between the two and now his bike annoys me when we ride together lol the style of the two brothers is what made me get it looks way better and more conformed to the bike instead of it sticking so far off the bottom like the dan moto

I have a "Von and Hans" exhaust, is an exhaust made by a little shop specialised in Vulcan bike accessories in Manila Philippines, they do ship abroad and they have a lot of other accessories also, check their face book.
Below the link of the exhaust on my bike.

Have tried the Danmoto before this one and that was real too loud, happy with this sound of the new one.

I am in the SAME boat as you, sans cat pee stains. That sucks. Sorry about that.

I really like/want the Arrow Rebel but the cost is so high. I suppose I can always sell it for close to the same cost so it might not be that bad.

I watched ALOT of videos yesterday (this one was helpful), and I think I like the Black Widow sound but its unfortunately chrome. The Delkevic Carbon Fiber Round also sounds nice, but I don't like the look. I love the look of the one you posted, the Arrow, and the Delkevic Slash Cut. Decisions, decisions...
