i had both the original and the monstra belt drives on my 2002 800, and the original snapped in half when i was passing a truck and the bike lost power and coasted to a stop infront of the truck, i was lucky to escape injury, then the new stronger replacement monstra belt snapped when coming out of a drive-way in 1st gear and then I replaced that with a new montra belt and didn't that one also snap in half so i sold the bike and gave the chain and sprockets to the new owner but they didn't put the chain on and kept the belt drive and that belt snapped on them so they sold the bike and I don't know where that bike is today but it was a lesson learned that the 800 and belts are a NO-GO conversion for the 800, just sayin, the belts are not strong enough for the 800 short-stroke low end torque, they're gonna snap on you, keep your 800 chain
