Hi everyone, I have a 97 800A totally stock with 25K on her. I am feeling a grind when i lean into a turn, ether Port or Starboard. When going straight and level it feels fine at any speed. I noticed it more at lower speeds cause of the obvious. My thoughts are it is ether the wheel bearing or in transmission.... Any feed back would be appropriated.

Yep, sounds like it could be tire scalloping. It's pretty normal for some of these Vulcan cruisers. Mine start to scallop noticeably somewhere around 4-5k miles. It just means the tread is doing its job. There's nothing wrong with the tire; I run mine to 10-13k miles.

How many miles on the tires?

Here's some good explanations for it.

Motorcycle Tire Wear

Here's a way you can test it and see if it's the tires: Go out on some smooth pavement or concrete slab road, get up to speed, around 50 or 60 MPH, and pull in the clutch. Lean the bike over to the left and to the right as you're moving with the clutch in. If it's the tires, you'll be able to feel it and hear it.
