I used the Counterbalance beads. Put 3 ounces into the rear tire and it's working really well. I've been meaning to remove the weight on the front tire and put the beads in there too, but i haven't gotten around to it yet. I'll have to soon though cause it's about time to replace the front tire.
EDIT: Oops. Sorry, i just noticed that you said "tubed" tire. I haven't tried that yet.
Absolutely! As a precaution, we always suggest a new tube with a new Dyna Beads application to avoid the problems of compressor oil accumulating on the inside over time. It turns gummy and the beads will stick to it.
Bike has been basically non ridden for many years, original OEM tires w < 5,000 miles. Based on age, need to replace. OEM are Dunlops, per manual:
80/90-21M/C 48H • DUNLOP “D404FJ”
180/70-15M/C 76H • DUNLOP “D404”
