I need to raise my bars on my VN900 Custom.

Are these an example of 2" bar risers?

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/HR2-Billet-Handlebar-Riser-Extensions-Kawasaki-Vulcan-900-Custom-Classic-VN900-/111127215375

The add states 1/2" vertical and 2" back.

I am not sure what 2" bar risers actually means?

your thoughts on these baron bar risers?

Would these baron risers require any changes to cables on this bike with the stock bars?

Tips on buying bar risers?

Neither of those will work if you have OEM bars on your Custom. I can't search from my phone, but you should be able to find several threads on this topic. Risers for the drag bars that are stock on the Custom will be extension tubes at the base of the bars.

Those of you have installed these risers, can you tell me how performs - in terms of reach up and reach back to you?

The 2" risers make only a marginal difference in reach back. I got them because it helped me lean into the back rest because I'm more upright. I don't know they would be good without a backrest but as they are pretty cheap it's worth a try.
