I have a Cobra II headlight installed on our 900 custom & upgraded it to an LED H4 globe quite a few years ago.

Just recently it has been having issues flickering on/off while riding (assuming a globe connection in the light bucket is faulty) so I am hoping to get back into it to fix things.
Problem is: I undo the 'screw off' chrome trim ring & am faced with the light seemingly stuck fast in the bucket? I know I have solved this before, though it absolutely eludes me how & nothing seems obvious apart from the 3 'holes' in the inner ring (1 of pictured).

Anyone else with one that can help my fading memory? How do I get the light out?* (before I break something)
