Found a great deal on an '07 LT. Anything to look out for? I assume these beasts have not changed much mechanically over their 6 year run.

The early V2Ks had a weak drive hub bearing which was remedied by doubling the bearings in 2006. I had an issue with the neck bearings not being loaded with grease, so I had to pull the stem out of the bike and inspect/re-grease the bearings. There are threads regarding all of the teeny aspects of the bike such as speedo being slow, gas tank "empty" too quick etc. There don't appear to be any major issues with the bike. Motor is over-built, tranny is tough, belt is huge, brakes are big....... buying a beast.:devil2:

i run a 2007 lt. ive had it for 4 years. Vulcans in general are a bit quirky and make some wrench heads cringe when they hear some sounds this bike makes unless they understand them . the few examples is the clunky tanny you stomp it into 1st and you get that jarring CLUNK CLANK sound. or at start up you get a tapping sound that comes from the top of the motor sounds almost like a bent valve or a sticking one but from how i understand it , it is the hydraulic lifters and once in a while the sumps run dry. after about 10 mins of riding you shouldn't hear em at all because the oils had time to circulate through . these are all things that are within the "norm" tho

over all the 07 is a great bike i have had no major issues with the beast. there is one major draw back and flaw in the bike though i feel like you need to be told about. 1. your going to cause a lot of penis envy with this bike and 2 if you dont have good control over your throttle then your gonna chew tires up like none other because she has loads of power to spare >.< hope you can score yourself a sweet ride here.

4k for a 2007 w/ low miles seem like a fantastic deal to me. Am going to look at it Monday.

Do they say "125 CI" anywhere on the bike?
