I took a ride with a half helmet instead of my Full face today (it's just very hot right now). I think I am just now noticing it because the sound wasn't muffled. I am hearing a high pitched whistle when applying throttle, particularly at high RPM. For example, cruising at 70 I can hear it over the Cobra exhaust (which is quite loud), if I roll back on the throttle, it stops. If I go uphill and add throttle to maintain speed, it gets louder. It's driving me crazy.

It isn't as pronounced at slower speeds, but it's still there. Also, I have a very loud whine. Goes away when clutch is pulled in. ANy ideas. Thanks folks. I am not a motorcycle mechanic by any means yet I know many of you do your own work.

Sounds like belt tension/alignment.
