I've been searching the threads but can't quite find the answer. I'm looking at possibly getting a fairing for my 08 900LT. I'd like a radio and external speakers and I just like the look. I've found a few that are marketed specifically to the Vulcan 1600 that I like the looks and price of but I'm hesitant to buy without knowing whether they will fit the 900. Does anyone here know offhand if any other models fitment will work on the 900?

Thx in advance.

Tsukayu. Go to their website and browse the models. I just ordered the double boox for my 09 900 classic but it hasn't shipped yet (2-6 week shipping and I ordered it almost 3 weeks ago) otherwise I'd give you my thoughts on it now. If you're willing to wait, I'll review it when I get it!

I saw the Tsukayu as well and that's probably where I'll end up. I'm not in a hurry as I haven't even passed it by whnwnt (what's he name wife number two) yet. But I saw this: Quad Speaker Batwing Fairing 05 - 08 Kawasaki Vulcan VN1600 Motorcycle | eBay and like the idea of quad speakers but not at the cost of doing a bunch of fab.

I'd like to hear your thoughts on the boox when you get it on. Thx

When I searched for a fairing for my buddies VN900 (see my Vintage Vaquero thread) I found a lot of pricey choices. There is a small version of the Harley Road Glide style fairing out there that I found on ebay:

Or something like this:

This one is similar to the FXRS style fairing:

I ended up modding an old Pacific Shadow (late 70's style) frame mounted fairing to his VN900. Took a lot of work but he really likes it. I have two more of the Pacifico Shadow fairings I bought off Craigslist.

Here is a good looking frame mount fairing for a mid-size cruiser:

Like the others mentioned above it may need the crashbars to use as a mount for the fairing. When I mounted the Pacific fairing on my bud's VN900 I used the crash bar as a mount for the fairing, along with a fairing bracket I designed to clamp to the frame downtubes.
