On my 1600 classic the tank was always whistling from the pressure build up. I went to gadgets page and was gonna try the fix of shorting the spring. I did not read it right the first time and took my whole gas cap apart. I reassembled it but its not correct. All the little springs keep falling out now. Can some tell me how to get it back together correctly or a really good exploded view of it?

looking at the parts listings, the gas cap is only available as a complete assembly ( but without the lock barrel and key) so Kawasaki don't publish an exploded view of the cap. If you could post some photos of your cap maybe someone could work it out for you?
