My bike sat over the winter. After riding it Saturday, I smelled oil on the exhaust. It is coming out of the air intake cover and blowing back on the exhaust. I had this happen once before when I over filled the crankcase but now it's doing it all the time. Do I have something plugged up or what. Dirt dobbers are always building nests on my cover. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Are your air filters the kind that need oiling? If so it may be possible they were over-oiled the last time and over the winter the excess oil is dripping down. This happened once on my Virago. My fault as I did not properly squeeze the excess oil from the foam.

Dirt dobbers, huh? I haven't heard anyone say that in 40 years. Brings back memories.

No, this is a lot of oil. It's blowing out of the engine.
