Has anyone swapped out their 900 Classic spoke wheels for some form of custom wheel? If so, what brand, from where and how much were they? Thanks!

I asked about this 6-8 months ago and found no joy. Basically, the custom rims will cost as much as true aftermarket cast rims. And you would have trouble with the front one mounting properly per it has a larger diameter than our stock rim & tire. You might could make it work if you swapped the fender also, but I would take good meaurements first. As for the rear wheel, I didn't get to deep into how well that would work after I realized the front one was going to be out of my price range and a pain to make fit. For what you are going to end up spending, you probably would be better off just getting aftermarket rims & tires that will fit without having to modify to much else on the bike. Good luck.

He's not asking about the 900 Custom wheels...he's asking about actual custom wheels.

That being said, meancycles.com has a few vendors; I'd start there.

Last year I swapped out my 900 Classic spokes for some new RC Components rims. I got new rims, tires, front rotor, and rear pulley for a little over $3000 delivered. The tires were put on the rims but I had to put everthing on the bike. It wasnt hard....just a weekend project. I got everything from Bikersimage. They had the best prices and the best service.

Which RC wheel did you go with?

I have actually been looking at those bags. I just havent been able to find a picture of them on a bike like mine. Looks great. Do you like them? Are those the small or large? I have been looking at the small.

Wow, that almost as much as I paid for my bike on the used market ($4900 for on 08 gently used)............I would like to change to a tubeless tire, but I can pay a lot off tow charges for that $3000 cost.....

Know of any that are more reasonable?

Check out Bikersimage.com. That is where I bought my RC Components but they also carry several other brands. Give them a call. I can promise you that they will give you the best price. I checked several places before odereing through them.

Thanks. I am quite pleased with the cover as well. You do nice work. As far as the seat goes, it is fine for short to mid range rides but I am not sure how well my back would tolerate it for more than say 100 miles. I do not have a gel pad though. I think if I had one it would make a BIG difference. But I primarily ride just back and forth to work (about 20 miles each way).
