On my way to work my fuel gauge quit working mid ride and dropped to zero I stopped and filled up powered on and off the cluster a few times nothing.
My question is if my Fuel Gauge / Sending Unit stops working the Low Fuel warning light will still work correct?
To my knowledge they are separate and it should still function.. I searched Fuel Gauge issues but was unable to find a clear answer to this question.

Given the price of the fuel sending unit id rather not replace it if the low fuel warning still works.
I'm off the next two days and will begin trouble shooting the issues more with my ohm meter praying its just a loose wire right now.
for now i'm just going off mileage.

Not sure on your model, but on my 07 LT the low fuel light is on a different sensor than the fuel gauge.
