Bike has been basically non ridden for many years, original OEM tires w < 5,000 miles. Based on age, need to replace. OEM are Dunlops, per manual:
Front
80/90-21M/C 48H • DUNLOP “D404FJ”
Rear
180/70-15M/C 76H • DUNLOP “D404”

Any recommendations? Go with OEM or is there a better option?

Thanks all!

I just ordered a set of Pirelli Night Dragons for my Custom 900. Looking forward to riding on these! I went up a size on both the front and back.

CMOS,
What made you go a size up on both? What size did you go with and where did you go to get them?
Thanks!

Buying them from my local bike repair shop = no cost to mount or balance.

I wanted to go taller to reduce the RPM's a bit, and I think it looks better!

Just a follow up to present a problem - the Pirealli ND tires sizes I chose DO NOT fit, on either the front or back.

The front is too wide and tall for the fender. The read drags on the inner fender guard.

FYI.

Will be ordering the Michelin Commander III's.
