I am a newbe to the Vulcan Forums. I am also new to cruiser style bikes- 5th bike though. In April I bought a 2007 Vulcan 900 Classic- finally able to put both my feet flat on the ground. Of the various changes that I have done to the bike, my last was to replace the stock H4 headlight bulb. I purchased a PIAA H4 Super Plasma GTX bulb- expensive. I am not overly happy with it's lighting ability, with the low beam being really good, but not on the high beam. I was hoping it would be appreciably brighter down the road. Has anyone tried installing either the Kuryakyn Phase 7, 7 inch LED headlamp or the Phase 6, 7 inch LED headlamp, in a 900 classic or similar configuration. The info for these headlamps indicates they both have H4 style electrical connections. Also, if this has been done, is the lighting ability that much better than the halogen bulbs?
Thank you for any information or experience with improving the headlight.
