Having spent a lifetime riding HD, I am a happy new owner of a 13 year old vn2000. As would be expected, i am wondering if there is any reason that i should be overly concerned with the cam chain tenshioning apparatus in this 13,000 mile motor? Thank you in advance for any information that I might appreciate.

I have more than 7 times that much mileage and no issues yet. Keep the oil clean with the right viscosity and you will be fine. The only issue I have had with my 04 is with the drive pulley bearings. Other than changing my hub over to the newer (06) style, no major issues, just gut wrenching performance that creates a smile you cannot remove with a hammer...:devil2:
