Book says to clean the coolant filter, Ive searched the forum and can not find one link to it.
I want to remove tank and do this before I fill tank all the way up for winter.

Any suggestions for this. Book is not very helpful.

Only coolant filter I am aware of is part #49019. It is located on a small hose from the front cylinder head to the carb heater. I truly don't think I would worry about it.

my first Vulcan and thought it might be important, but I guess there would be talk about it here on the forum if that was the case.
books says:
Before winter season starts, clean the coolant filter [A] in the
carburator system.

thanks for the reply

I've cleaned mine while I was cleaning the carburetor. The net filter was almost completely stuffed with coolant sediments. Did not notice a difference however (but it does not get below 50F where I live).

I would delay it until you strip down your carb for cleaning - then you'll have it stripped anyways.

I removed the coolant hose from my carb altogether and bypassed the carb years ago.
