Due to some unfortunate circumstances my 06 1600 Classic ran for a while without coolant and did some top end damage.

I replaced the pistons with Kawasaki 20 over (0.5mm), had the cylinders overbored and trued up to match. Heads were able to be machined as well. Compression ratio should thus be a little higher than stock but not significantly so. I would havd liked the Thunder Big Bore kit but they are currently out of business :(

While I was in there I went with a set of 1500 mean streak cams to compliment my barons big air kit, vance and hines pipes, and power commander.

All I can say is wow! The idle chop sounds really good and the power is great. It pulls absolutely effortlessly.

The biggest drawback so far is the fuel economy sucks, down to 28mpg. I can smell it is running rich in some places and it is no doubt running lean in others. After I get it properly broken in I intend to get it dyno tuned, which should help with maximum power and gain back some fuel economy.

I will be sure to post the dyno numbers when I get them.

Thanks that is the kind of mileage I'm getting on my 1600 and 21 around town. I am going to have mine dyno tuned as well and can wait to see the difference hopefully. Do you have the p..c..3 or 5?
