Vibration, or maybe excessive speed, has always caused my GPS plug to loosen and even fall out on occasion. I was about to install a couple of tabs on each side of the 12v outlet to attach a rubber band to hold the male plug in. Instead, use the 10 minute no drill, no bolt, inconspicuous, and cheap way to do it as pictured. Purchase, or look in your basement for one small bungee cord with the round ball attached, and cut the ball off. Take a match to the cut end(s) to prevent fraying. Knot one end. Remove the RH glove box from the fairing. Fish the cord through the gaps in the fairing as pictured. Unfortunately I am not able to edit the pictures without exceeding the file size limit. Tie a knot to attain enough tension to hold the 12v plug in place. Reassemble.
