Looking for replacement rear fender for classic, struts are +/-10 1/4" wide but all i can find are 9"/11". Anyone know where to get that odd ball side fender? I know there is britt fender but only want to spend $130 or so
ok, found jesse james two eight fender, width is 10 1/2" but struts are 10 1/4" so might work. I can't find radius info on it but i think i need 14 3/4"-16" to mount nicely on struts. Anyone with experience installing this fender on classic? Anyone see any issues with this install?(besides the seat which will be another can of worms) Any feedback would be appreciatedhttp://www.phatperformanceparts.com/Jesse_James_Custom_Rear_Fenders_Rigid_Two_Eight_p/16951.htm
thanks yeah, inexpensive is what i'm hopng for. I could go with britt @ $265 plus $75 shipping. With taxes and border x-ng duties britt works out to $380. Many talented and resourceful folks here so hoping to benefit from that.
thought canadians were brits? or cuzins? so now they'r treating you like they did us colonials. the tax man. best show them where to get off.. newfoundland.
Ha ha ha, i hope they do get off in Newfoundland! If they end up there and need directions they'll never understand a word they're saying!
Anyway thanks for the link to evil, they do have a 10" fender for $99 so hopin they get back to me saying they can ship it up here.
I had to make an emergency stop the other day on my 900 (accident avoided), but encountered something unusual. When I pulled in the clutch lever and applied the front brake simultanously, the throttle seemed to freeze with the engine revved up (to around 3-4K) as I braked to a stop. I had just...
I have the a stock 12' head light in v900 classic.
What is the next legal, but better HEADlight bulb upgrade ( just the camry verson, not the ferrari version) thats great for during the day or night?
Also, is the labor hard, what does it intail?
thanks to all!
Howdy All,
I have a Clymers manual but the only adjustment covered is the free-play gap of the clutch lever itself. I did that.
The way my clutch works, when I'm starting from a dead stop, I have to release the clutch lever almost all the way out for the clutch to begin engaging (friction)...
Hay all dose anyone have a digital copy of the service manual I can get? I think it's really shitty of Kawasaki to not offer the manual for free anymore imo.
So with a look into the pipes on my '08 it looks like the previous owner removed the outer or last baffle. So if that's the case should I also mod the air filter / air box to kind of balance it out? Does K&N make a filter for the VN900?
