That is weird. Mine had a little liquid in the plug. This sounds like crankcase oil following the wires.

I had to change out the stator on my 07 900 Custom at about 21k miles. When I first started looking to find the charging problem I also found what appeared to be oil in that plug. I don't really know...

First: I agree with you 100%. It really isn't an instruction, it's just a catch-all. Like "These are sheet metal screws and should not be eaten."

Second: I don't even pay attention to the miles...

Ok, this is an after market accessory so you need to know the maker if you don't see anything on the fob indicating the battery. All of my auto fobs say on the back what battery to use. Interesting...

From my 2017 Vaquero owner's manual: "Service more frequently when operating in severe conditions: dust, wet, muddy, high speed or frequent starting/stopping." Engine oil is flagged for this note.

6' 0", 33" inseam. Drove a 900 custom for 10 yrs. It was a perfect fit for me. I did add a Mustang Wide Vintage seat. That raised me up about 1.5" and forward the same, so leg room was unchanged.

I've been burning E-10 since the late 70's. The auto and motor sports industry recognised the issues decades ago and all gasoline motors have been engineered for E-10 since the mid 80s. I only use...

I drove a 900 Custom for 10 years before buying my 1700 Vaquero in 2017. Here's my take:

Size: The biggest difference is size seems to be seat height. I have a 33" inseam and I have trouble flat...

I don't own a 650 S so I have to ask. Does this bike use a sensor on the front wheel to measure mph? My VN900 and VN1700 both read transmission rpm and calculate ground speed from that. So If I were...

Your 170/80 is narrower and taller than the stock 180/70 the bike came with. That will lower revs a little and make the speedo a bit closer. I only had a Pirelli on my 900 once and had no complaints....

The Vaquero system cancels 8 seconds after the bike travels 200 ft. I always seem to hit the signal too early so they cancel while I'm waiting to go.

It depends on who made it. On the bottom they probably all use the Peg/Floorboard mounting bolts. On the top some use the horn bracket screw. I think I've see some that use the radiator guard screws....
