Engine Guard/highway bars/freeway bars

Hi friends.

I'm wanting to mount some bars on my 2000 Vulcan 800A. A couple questions for ya.

I wanna have pegs in them too, to stretch my legs out (6'6" here). Do I hafta buy some bars with pegs already mounted or can I buy bars and mount my own pegs on them? Which bars work best?

Any help or suggestions are welcomed. Thanks again?

I believe the frames are the same on the A and B models. I'm using a Baron bar with Kury pegs. You can use any peg you like as long as the clamping portion is for the diameter of your bar. The Baron is 1 1/4'. The choice of pegs is virtually endless.

With the 8033 pegs here.

Well worth the investment in comfort and protection. Since I installed this bar I have laid it down in mid corner when it slid on damp/slick pavement. Kept the bike from pinning my leg to the pavement while sliding. I have my pegs set so I have 3 positions to place my feet, on the bikes pegs, on the highway pegs, and my favorite, resting my heel on the bikes pegs and my toes on the highway pegs.

I'm not familiar with the parts available for your bike but you might like
the Lindby guard. They have footpegs built in their design. I have a set
on my Mean Streak & love them.
