I just leave on the side stand and just roll it forward a little as I spray lube the chain. It is a stop and go thing but it works fine. You can see where you started lubing because the chain comes back around wet.

I've been spraying lube on the chain on the top/inside section of the bottom return loop of the chain, do you spray the chain while it's coming around on the rear sprocket?

I use the straw the comes with the chain lube to reach under the chain guard and lube while I draw backwards and spray the end of the rear sprocket. Then I move the bike forward and do that again until the lubed chain comes back around. Seems to work OK.
