Just new to my classic 800 and wondering about floor boards or crash bars with foot pegs to move my foot position on longer trips

My 900 LT is my first bike with floorboards and I really love them. So much more comfortable.

Do it! I'm sure there are plenty of web sites, but start with RevZilla and DennisKirk, do a search based on year/make/model. Also, eBay or your local dealer. I had my engine guard installed, but took it off myself. It's pretty simple - need longer bolts and some loctite, and you're good to go. Buy pegs and mounts, and you're off to the races.

As for floorboards, my 800 also came with Cobra boards installed when I got it, so when I went to pegs, I had to buy pegs and shorter bolts.

Good luck!
