lengthened rear swingarm

Someone has done this ?

A friend of mine has made a complete new swingarm, longer than stock 4 inch, but has some issues with the chain slack. He install an additional role to compensate the additional length of the chain.

Any experience will be appreciated. Just need to learn from somebody else experience ..

Thanks in advance.

Sounds like a cool idea, give it a Drag Bike stance....I like it! This would help the rough ride as well. Look forward to reading the results. Post some PICS if you do it. A spring loaded guide off a duel sport bike should take care of the chain slack....I ran a 4 over on my street Z-1 for years with no problems but you need to keep the tension adjusted right.

I had an 8 over swingarm on my drag bike never had any chain problems either....then again I only rode it a 1/4 mile at a time.
