VN800 airfilter housing hose

Need some advise about the hose coming out of the bottom of the air filter housing. This hose has must have came off because it is just laying on the outside of the engine not connected to anything.
I do not know where it goes or what it connects to.
The motor is struggling to stay running and feels like it is flooding out.
Appreciate any guidance.
