Safe grease for inside engine?

Hey.
Working on putting my carburetor back together and the guide I'm using suggests that if the float chamber gasket doesn't stay in its groove, you can use a little grease to help it stay.
My question is what kind of grease?

Have used Vasoline to help hold o-rings and gaskets in place before. Dont over do it and that should be good. Any sticky grease should work, just use sparingly.
