Commander II p.s.i.

Hi Guys,
I just had a set of Michelin Commander II's installed today on my VN1700 Nomad.
I forgot to ask my mechanic about tire pressures.
Can any of you that have these tires recommend what psi to run at? Would it be the same as the stock Bridgestones?
I ride solo pretty much all the time, and I always kept the Stones at the listed pressure in the book.

Thanks a bunch, Eric

Most of the forum members talk about 40-42 psi rear and 37-38 front. That's what I been running and that's what the shop put in them when I asked. I believe the recommended pressure in the manual is to low and accelerates the tire wear. Just my opinion.

I run 40 psi rear and 37 psi front in my Commander IIs. They handle, ride, and wear well with that air pressure.

14k on them, little over half worn.

Thanks guys,
Thats about where I have them now.
I always thought the manual for the front was kinda low.
Sure am glad I got these installed, and I have a new local mechanic that appears to be legit. No more dealer for me.
