55 watt driving dights

I have serched and cant find the anser I need I have a 2011 vaquero it has a 80/100w headlampbulb in it and recently had the driving lights installed. I was wanting to put 55watt bulbs in the driving lights lot of deer where I live. Will this cause a problem with amps or should I go back to a 55/65watt headlamp bulb to keep from harming my chargeing system. thanks for any help.

I think the OEM bulbs are 35 watt. So you want to go from drawing 11.25 amps to drawing 17.5 amps. I doubt it would be a problem with the alternator unless you are running heated seat and heated gear at the same time. I would make sure the wiring and fixtures are rated to handle the extra draw.

Well put them in and blow no fuses with the bright light on did not have a chance to go for a ride because of weather let it warm up and no problem with heat so far.
