Radio not on with key on....

Hi all,

I was looking at a voyager the other day and tried to play the radio with the engine off but key on. I could not get the radio to come on. Will it only work with the engine running? Surely I'm missing something here?

Don't know about other years, but I'm pretty sure my 2010 will play the radio with just the key on. I think they did update the radio at some point and later models may be different.

Installed:
RAM mount for TomTom Rider 400 (with anti theft module)
6000k LED Headlight & Spots; Kisan Headlight Modulator (works with LEDs),
__Brake Light Modulator, LED License Plate Holder
Longer Kickstand
Dobeck EJK 3.0
Lucky Mirror Extenders
Misc. RAM Mounts for Cup Holder, SPOT, Phone, etc.
Chuckster BAK, Trailer Hitch and Cooler Rack
Wiring for Trailer
Ray's Throttle Mod
Things to do:
Drilling Baffle Plates (Maybe)
Paint HF Tag Along Trailer to Match Bike

LET'S RIDE

My '17 Vaquero has an accessory position on the ignition switch. In that position the radio will play until the battery is flat. Ask me how I know.

You probably did this, but push the Power button on the radio face, with the key in the ACC or ON position. Even when off, the radio should display "KAWASAKI" on it, IIRC.
