Air Intake for '09 Nomad

Hello and good morning all. I am interested in current experience/input on what type of air intake to put on an '09 Nomad. I've ordered V&H twin slash cut slip ons. Also investigating Invan's ECU mod, just gotta figure out how long it'd take to ship from it from Canada to SC (want to minimize bike downtime). To complete the trilogy of mods, looking at Roaring Toyz or perhaps Alley Cat are intakes. Seems Kuryakyn doesn't sell the Nomad version anymore, but may be able to find a store online that has one in stock.

I've searched older threads going back to 2014 and not a lot of info there... but was somewhat helpful. I'd appreciate any input you can share on what to consider and/or avoid. I've heard about noise issues with a BAK and perhaps the unit interfering with the right leg.

Any and all help / input welcome, or links to threads I may have missed. Thoughts?

TIA.
Neil

I have what I think is the thunder products that retains the original cover. It was there when I bought mine. No complaints and I like the original look. I'm getting ready to do the Ivan's flash. Have a dobeck controller but I think Ivan's is the way to go. From what I gather Ivan's flash matches your mods so you should do the intake and exhaust then have it flashed.

Bought an air intake

Hello all,
Just wanted to advise that I bought a Kuryakyn Alley Cat 9528. It fits a '09 Nomad per Kuryakyn. Note their website doesn't show this model anymore, but I was able to buy one from FortNine website yesterday. Hope to have it by end of week. That and some new V&H twin slash pipes also arriving this week, I'm on my way to improving the bikes performance. Once installed, I'll Ivanize the ECU, but may wait until the fall after the bike is put away since I don't want to be without it for a month...while the ECU is shipped back and forth from the US. Thanks for your interest in this tread. Its now complete.
