Gear indicator

Haven't been on here for awhile, has anyone had problems with their gear indicator? They all light up at startup, but after ten or fifteen minutes I lose 3rd and 5th. Not an immense problem, I can count to 6, but the cruise control won't work unless the gear indicator is displayed. Any suggestions? I'm guessing a plug may be loose or something simple, but I am guessing. I probably need a shop manual.

They call me Pop Pop because I'm too cool to be called grandfather!

IIRC, the earlier models had some probs with that and I think, that there has been an "update" from Kawi with a stronger spring inside the motor if that prob occur.

Sven is correct, there is an updated spring and plunger to improve contact to the switch. When the cover is off to replace the parts, check for cracks in the switch at the same time, and clean the contacts.
