Thumbs up

I'm riding a 2010 Nomad. I added a Thunder Air Kit (this is a must do), removed outer and inner baffles on OEM mufflers and added the Cobra FI2000R. After the modifications that I made the bike ran great. No more lean surge on acceleration and very little popping on deceleration. I decided to take my ride in to my local race shop and had it dynoed and mapped. I was running the stock pot setings from Cobra before putting it on the dyno. Basically I was running lean on the low speed pot, rich on the mid range and high speed pots. After the tech completed the mapping the results were very impressive. I went from 72.44 HP to 79.13 HP at the rear wheel. Torque went from 89.22 lb.ft. to 92.27 lb.ft. I just ran my third tank of gas through the bike and my mileage went from an average of 32.4 mpg to 36+. The bike is as smooth as silk through out the power band now. I don't think that a random adjustment of the pots will do the machine justice. I feel it should be set up on the dyno. If you want to PM me I'll check my pot settings tomorrow and I'll send them to problemo

Shipped settings are 4.5, 4.5, 0. The first pot is the one you will need to focus on. I would start by riding the bike at stock settings and then check the plugs. Adjust in half increments. The last pot is only adjusted when an air kit (not just replacement air filter) is bolted on. Plugging the fresh air hose coming in the right side air box will have some effect on decreasing popping also. I would use the shipped settings as a starting point rather than trying to copy someone else's settings. My settings are 4.9 (just a hair under 5.0)4.5, 3.5 My mods, Cobra slip ons, thunder air kit 51010, air temp sensor relocated to neck, cobra fi2000r.
