Converting the Voyager to 3 Wheels?

Time has come again to open the floor up to everyone and ask if you are running a three-wheel Voyager? If you are I have a few questions?

1) What type is your three-wheeler,?(manufacture make)
2) Did you install the kit on your Voyager yourself? Was it easy to do?
3) What do you think about your kit now that you are using it?

I am now looking at converting my beloved 2009 Voyager to a three-wheel design but there are many manufacturers out there and when it comes to big choices I rely on this group for answers.

Here are a few I have seen so far....

Any help would be appreciated!!!

Thanks for looking!

When the time comes, I will probably get the Leg up Landing Gear. Cheaper and I don't have room in my garage for a trike, anyway.

https://www.landingear.com/

Installed:
RAM mount for TomTom Rider 400 (with anti theft module)
6000k LED Headlight & Spots; Kisan Headlight Modulator (works with LEDs),
__Brake Light Modulator, LED License Plate Holder
Longer Kickstand
Dobeck EJK 3.0
Lucky Mirror Extenders
Misc. RAM Mounts for Cup Holder, SPOT, Phone, etc.
Chuckster BAK, Trailer Hitch and Cooler Rack
Wiring for Trailer
Ray's Throttle Mod
Things to do:
Drilling Baffle Plates (Maybe)
Paint HF Tag Along Trailer to Match Bike

LET'S RIDE

I definitely like that more than a trike! Too soon for me to worry about it, but I could see that down the road.

I have the Endeavor trike (2 wheels in front) on my 2013 Nomad. I absolutely love it. I had owned a Can am spyder for 3 years after many years on 2 wheels. I liked the handling and performance of the Spyder. However, it looked like a transformer and sounded like a volkswagen Beetle. I highly recommend the Endeavor trike. If you go to Endeavor.com, you can see a video of my Nomad 1700 trike.

My mistake on the website for Endeavortrikes.com . Here is the video on my Nomad. He made a mistake on the year, as it is a 2013 Nomad 1700.

that looks great
i was considering getting my bike converted by Endeavortrikes also until i found out the Canadian government will not let you register a bike converted into a trike if it is done outside of Canada
that severely limits what or who we can use to convert

My California Side Car (CSC) conversion was done 3 years ago. I couldn't be happier with the conversion. CSC has a 5 yr. unlimited mileage warranty. I suggest you invest the time to visit their plant since it's only 3 hours away in Arrington, Va. Even if you don't decide to buy CSC, a visit to the plant will provide lots of insight to the conversion process if you buy a similar product.

There are lots of CSC installers in the US but since you are that close to the factory it only makes sense to have the work done by the factory. They do not allow DIY installs. Regardless of whose kit you choose, be sure to include reverse gear and the Easy Steer (front end rake) options. Most of the conversion manufacturers offer independent rear suspension. In my opinion that is the safest and best choice. Some trike riders with straight rear axles will say their ride is just as comfortable but I have been on mountain rides where straight axle trikes picked up the outside wheel in the turns.

If you have not Ivanized your ECU you may be a bit disappointed in your Voyager's performance. Having a fat rear end and an extra 300 lbs to haul around takes a toll on performance and gas mileage. Don't let that deter you, get out there and stay in the wind. Once you get used to riding a trike (it only takes a short time) your 2 wheel friends will marvel at the trike's ability to keep up . . . anywhere.
