Sparkplug cap

Hey, Who has changed the sparkplug cap on there Voyager 1700? Does the coil wire just pull out of the old cap and then shove the coil wire into the new cap. Honestly for $35 when I ordered the new cap I thought it came with the wire installed like a normal plug wire. When you look inside the cap you can see the pin where the wire pushes on over it but I was wondering if some type of special tool is needed to push or crimp in place. The maintenance manual I have says nothing about replacing the sparkplug cap.
