2017 1700 voyager

Hello all,
I am relatively new here & wanted to ask a question please. I have a 2017 voyager that i have removed the trunk. I like the look without it & will spend most of riding time solo. I would like to put a back rest on sometimes if the wife rides. I think i seen that a 2010-2012 nomad passenger set up will fit but i wanted to make sure before i tried to purchase anything. Has anyone done this or will it fit without changing anything as i would like to keep the options putting trunk back on if needed ?

Thanks for any info,
David

There have been several Voyager owners who have bought parts from either a Nomad or a Vaquero to alter the rear of their bikes - seats, backrests, and plastichrome trim. I've been tempted to do that myself, but find the trunk too handy. The necessary parts occasionally pop up for sale in forum classifieds. They're all a straight swap.

There is a guy on one of the 1700 Voyager Facebook pages who has done this and posted a video of how he engineered it

When the going gets weird, the weird turn pro. HST
