Vaquero Slip Ons

All-

LOL. Maybe I'm being cheap, but while I get paying close to $1K for a sportbike exhaust....I have a bit of a problem paying $500 for cruiser slip ons that no one can even see under the bags. All I really want is something to breathe and with a little noise so that the teenager next to me texting will look up before changing lanes.
Anyone have any good suggestions for a compromise? I see Freedom, V&H, and Cobra, but all share the same price point.

Thank you in advance-

Raider

I put Vance and Hines on my Vaquero and they sounded great BUT after a while on long trips it became annoying to me. If I still had it I would have but the stock exhaust back on. Just my 2 cents.

Vance & Hince - if I could here in germany, but due to our frickin' laws, no chance, not legal here.

Hey Demolition, how about that Dresden company 'Sound Control Systems'...? They can modify your stock pipes and you can adjust how loud you want your pipes to be in matter of couple minutes... All that for 399 euros I believe.

Still illegal in germany !

Know that company and I know nobody who like that sound long time. Most bought the miller exhaust, which is the only legal one for the 1700 (as far as I know), but I dont like this sound also. Both, the miller and the Sound control system sounds like a barking dog (in my opinion) and not like a big bore cruiser should sound (harley, indian, etc.).

In my opinion the only good sounding exhaust is the Vance & Hince, but even this, is a bit too loud on long distance rides.

So, each to his own, I'll stay with my oem tapered exhaust pipes, with one lost baffle each side - dont know when and where it is gone . Present, but not too loud, still could listen too the audio system/navigation comments, no drone, etc.

I like it.
