Air pressure in rear shocks

I have a 2013 Vulcan 1700 Nomad. I am trying to figure out how much air pressure to put in the rear shocks. I weigh 230 lbs and my wife weighs about 130. Does anyone have advice on maybe where to start? We ride together 90 percent of the time. Right now there appears to be no pressure in them.... Thanks!!

I have 2012 Nomad- have dampener set on 3 & usually ride 2 up with 23lbs in shocks. All a matter of trial & error, get yourself a zero loss pump

Revrider, can you use the zero loss pump to inflate tires?

I will give it a try. I have a compressor too but can be a bear to get it hooked up and disconnected without losing pressure. Will drop rear tire pressure down to 36 from 40. Thanks again for the help!
