2011 voyager 1700 oil dipstick

i just bought the 1700 are the oil dipstick real hard to unscrew it is this the way they are because my nomad one comes off real easy. if the dipstick was crossed threaded or stripped whats the best way to fix it

I own a 2015 Voyager and the dipstick is very easy to unscrew.

Depends on how tight it was screwed in. Use a paper towel wrapped up and pliers to gently crack it. You should be able to remove by hand after that using the same paper towel as it will be very warm/hot as you are checking with bike hot.

I ended up getting an aftermarket one as mine was very hard to start from new. Here is a picture of the factory one only two months old

+1. Got one from Cobra. Little pricey but looks good.
