Clutch springs

Has anybody replaced them? Anything I should know before I pull the cover off?

I speced out stock 1700 clutch springs and compared them to what was available. ALL the companies that listed springs I ordered springs. NONE fit nor work in the 1700. A call to BARNETT (one of the companies that listed springs and I was able to spec out) to explain them the situation. I gave him all of the dimensions and pressures, they had nothing in their inventory that would work.

So as far as the major brands are concerned nothing is available.
