Mustang seat on Voyager

Any of you that have installed a Mustang touring seat on your voyager feel like it has set you farther back from the fuel tank. I know the quality and how much better they ride over stock as I have installed them on other bikes.

On my voyager I feel pushed forward and am right up against the fuel tank.

I love my Mustang Seat. On my Vaquero it sits me back about an inch and up an inch. I can ride all day in comfort without getting monkey butt.

I felt the Mustang 3-piece had me further away from the controls, and from the tank. I installed a set of Chuckster's risers to fix the control's issue, but the backrest was also too far away to be of any use, unless I turned the thumb-screw around so that it pushed it further forward.

Still... It was an "OK" seat for me. Not as excellent as the similar seat I had on the Nomad, but good enough to ride on all day.

My passenger hated it though. Her seat was too flat, sloped towards the front even... and every bump seemed to toss her forward in her seat into the rider's backrest. That backrest wasn't far away, because the extra space I enjoyed was at her expense.

It's the first Mustang seat that I've thought to myself - "This really wasn't very well thought out".

So now we have a Russell. And it suits us both, perfectly.

I had Mustang on my last bike and was planning it for this one but was wondering how it cahnged seat position as I am vertically challenged and if I sit a little lower that would be good but if it raises up any that would be bad. If it pushes back I would have to get risers which is not a big deal just good to know in advance

Life moves pretty fast, if you don't stop and look around once in a while you could miss it.

Two things, one I never carry a passenger & I have already installed the Phat risers. Just looking to get a little father back from the tank.

I have a Mustang seat "on the way" for my 14 Vaquero and I'm hoping for the same thing, futher back from the tank. My only other option is a Corbin or have the stock seat sent to Russell.
