Made me smile when I saw that one. Makes you wonder about the quality of the work they do at the dealer

And yea that is a brand new bike on the showroom floor

A lot of dealers will hire young kids or students, who want to be around bikes, but do not have he mechanical ability yet. So they have them do odd jobs and/or seemingly "easy" tasks.
Granted, some one should have checked their work, But he may have just rolled it on the floor before someone looked at it. Were seeing a snapshot in time, when in reality - it could only be 6 seconds that this hit the floor & someone walked over to see what was just rolled out.

Contrary to popular belief, theres not always fire - when you see smoke.

Or maybe work better upside down because they don't work all that well the right way; at least they didn't on my 2K.

This is also the same dealer that wanted me to leave my wife's bike for warranty work. They said they were running 4-5 weeks behind. 4-5 weeks to even look at it probably 2 weeks for parts an then another couple weeks to fix. Scheduled an appointment with another dealer and had the bike back in two weeks

That's downright insane. There's a local shop that's like that. I needed tires and I dropped the bike off and they said it'd be 6-8 weeks. What!? No stinking way! Called up another dealer and had new tires on the bike before the sun went down that day. I mean two months for a set of tires; no way! I DO ride the thing you know!

I know they do get inundated with motorcycles and ATV's improperly stored the previous winter, this time of year.

The service is kinda redicilous at some dealers. I know that they get busy, but 6 weeks. Sounds like they really don't won't to be bothered with the work

They really do get swamped. The one nearest me has a huge shop, very small showroom. They are definitely a shop that sells bikes, instead of a place that sells bikes with a shop in it. Every spring, about this time, the shop is wall to wall with ATV's, dirt bikes, older motorcycles, newer motorcycles, etc. All with the same problem, cranks and cranks and won't start! In other words, they just kept riding them until it got too cold, left them alone, and tried to fire them up in the spring. Carb cleaning, rebuilds, fuel injector service. All of the guys back there are getting overtime and I've ridden by there before at 10PM; when they normally close around 7, and saw the shop doors open, lights on, and half a dozen guys working on bikes and ATV's.

Of course, that would all go away if folks would just spend a couple of bucks on some Seafoam or Sta-Bil, and a tender for the battery!
